Almost There!!!
Wow... I, and my wrists, feel like I've been working on this thing forever! It's ALMOST done :) One more round of sc around the edges and then figuing out how to sew it to the fleece. I'm soooo excited!!!
I decided to copy part of the square as the border. I think it turned out pretty... It's basically a round of shells, then a round of chains and then a round of dc on the chains in the next round... Sorry if that sounds complicated!
I am so in love with this blanket, how am I going to give it up??? Only to my bestest friend, cause I know she'll love it :)

2 Weeks In Pics
I know I've slacked again, but I think I'll finally be on a regular schedule now! The last few weeks have been sooo busy with getting my house ready for our Halloween house-warming party, getting all situated with work and finishing a project for my 1st wedding anniversary... Here's the few weeks in pictures :)
Starting on the top right, that's my first attempt at painting. Why I decided to try that for hubby's first anniversary present, is beyond me. It seems to have turned out pretty good. Everyone else loves it, but you know how it is, I only see the parts that I don't like...
In the top middle is my lovely family at my house-warming.
The top right corner is my candy for the party. I think it was too pretty tho, cause no one ate any!
In the middle left space was some of the yummy food. Home-made cupcakes, mummy chocolate pretzel sticks and spinach dip... Not pictured was a huge veggie platter with 2 kinds of dips, chips and salsa, teryaki meatballs and little smokies and momma made pigs in a blanket (which everyone loved!)...
In the very middle is a pic of hubby and me. Can you guess what he's supposed to be?
The middle left spot is a pic of some of my guests, and all the food!
The bottom left spot is a pic of my crazy god-mother (isn't her costume great???) and my favorite house warming gift! Momma made me a crazy quilt for my office. She backed it with pink fleece... It's sooooo soft and warm, not to mention gorgeous!!!
The bottom middle is hubby, me, god-mother and her hubby and silly mommy and step daddy. And then another pic of the silly fam in the bottom right corner.
I promise to keep up better in November. It's my anniversary month and momma had an idea to have a whole wedding month. Fun!!!

Stop!!!
OMG! Stop whatever you are doing! RIGHT NOW! Make these muffins... I don't think I've had a moister, yummier muffin... ever!
Recipe:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 19 oz. can of pumpkin puree
1 tsp vanilla
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
(I added a drizzle of veggie oil cause the batter was a little thick, and just a drizzle! And 1/4 cup of egg substitute/1 egg, whatever floats your boat... However, the original recipe didn't call for this, so you can try it the healthier way, too)
Mix it all up, put cookie scoop worth of batter in each space of a mini-muffin tin and bake at 350 for 15-18 min. This makes 48 perfect little muffins.
I'm not kidding... These are delicious!!! And don't they look cute in my pumpkin basket?

Slacking!!!
I know I've been blog slacking... but look at everything else I've been doing!!!
Oh, and speaking of IKEA... look at this monster!
I built it all by myself until the last two screws... I was cussing, bleeding and sore by the time hubby came home and helped me finish :) Did I mention that it's 7 feet by 7 feet? It's HUGE! But it's the perfect size for all kinds of stuff. The squares are approximately 13" square but 15" deep. So scrapbook stuff fits perfect. I like how the yarn looks... And now I know exactly what I have... Not bad, huh?
First, progress on the best friend blanket. I'm loving it!
Then, remember the Mr. and Mrs. T pillow? Finally found a pillow for it. Now that I've decided that it is cute, I'll be making a twin for it :)
Finally, look at my pretty office!!! I LOVE IT!
The perfect pink walls, IKEA desk and curtains... so pretty and feminine! It's still not done. I have a few white shelves to put up, a white bulletin board and a few other things, but I couldn't wait to share!

Too many new projects...
Oh well... I have new-projectitis! I can't help myself, tho! Here's the newest...
The blocks are the infamous "Willow Block" from the 200 Blocks book, but only in 1 solid color. It's off-white in Caron Simply soft. The fabric on the bottom is super soft fleece that I bought from Hancock's for only $4.00 a yard. I purchased 2 yards and am going to try somehow to back the squares with the fleece. It's for my best friend for Christmas, so I'd better keep at it!
Oh, and don't you just love the cute vintage sewing basket in the upper corner of the picture??? It was a present from Momma that she found at an estate sale or thrift shop (I can never keep track of where she finds all her goodies) :) I love it!!!
