All that work...

And I didn't even sell one set of dishcloths!!! Can you believe that???

I don't think people believed me that you can wash dishes or yourself with them. Every time I tried to explain what they were, the responses were, "REALLY???" with astonished looks.

So, if you are in the need for some very pretty (if I do say so myself), very eco-friendly, very useful hand crochet dishcloths/facecloths/face scrubbies (which are perfect for taking your makeup off), visit my etsy shop... I have a ton of sets up for sale! Here's a sample...

Otherwise, my weekend was great. Hubby and I got away to Monterey for our second wedding anniversary (which is on the 17th). The weather was gorgeous (tho cold) and we had a very fun, relaxing time! Hubby even took me to a yarn store in Pacific Grove and let me buy some gorgeous yarn. Lamb's Pride in goldenrod and ocean waves, I'll show those off later :)

Awww, I'm sorry to hear you didn't sell any dishcloths. I think they're so pretty! And how dumb can people be to think you can't actually wash stuff with them???
A church near my house is looking for crafters for a holiday bazaar, and I thought about doing it, but didn't know if I could actually make any money from it. I think hearing about your experience really sealed it for me to not to bother. I've been crocheting at work during lunchtime/breaks, and I've gotten a few requests from people to make them stuff. I think that's probably more lucrative than doing a craft fair.

Sorry to hear you didn't sell any of those fabulous dishcloth's. I can't believe not one sale. What were those people thinking?

Happy anniversary! Looks like you had a great time.

OK. I can't believe you didn't sell more washcloths. Maybe it's all about marketing. You might have to make fancy tags for them and call them "Spa Cloths." Then, give some sort of description of exfoliation of the skin, etc. Just take a look on some cosmetic sites for the jargon. People will buy something if you use fancy lingo!

I'm so sorry nothing sold! I have had that happen to me too, where people don't want to use a cloth I knit or crocheted because its "handmade". Keep trying, you just have to find the right "audience". Happy belated Anniversary!

I know what you mean about the dish cloths! I crocheted a couple for my mom a year ago, and she has never used them as dish clothes. I asked her why, and she said they were too nice.
